VA Starter Hub is a free resource center for anyone who wants to become a virtual assistant — starting in the Philippines, but open to workers anywhere in the world who have no idea where to begin.
Why this exists
Search "how to become a VA" and the genuinely useful, up-to-date advice is hard to find — locked inside paid programs, scattered across dozens of tabs, or buried in Facebook groups you can't reach from Google.
We built one place that gathers it: free, plain-English how-to guides, where-to-start roadmaps, honest numbers on what the work pays, references to the real tools and platforms (Wise, Payoneer, Upwork, OnlineJobs.ph and more), and free tools that solve real problems — like sounding professional on a call from a noisy house with a cheap headset.
Who it's for
Complete beginners. People on budget laptops and slow internet. Parents, students, OFWs, career-switchers, and anyone in a developing country who's been told remote work is possible but never shown how to actually start.
What we are not
VA Starter Hub is not a hiring platform, job board, recruiter, staffing agency, or training provider that promises placement. When we cover Upwork, Wise, Payoneer, OnlineJobs.ph, Fiverr, or any other service, we do so independently and link readers to that provider's official documentation.
Why it's free
The guides will always be free to read. The site is supported by ads and by the occasional tool we genuinely recommend (clearly marked). Later we may add an affordable course or community — but the core how-to library stays open.
